Background

SkySlope is a software company in the real estate industry that helps brokers and agents digitally manage their transactions. As SkySlope’s senior graphic designer, I led and executed their 2020 company & product suite rebrand.

I have also directed design for countless B2B and B2C marketing campaigns and am responsible for attracting clients to our various products and services. In addition to marketing, I have also created designs for numerous internal company events and communications.

Rebrand

When I joined SkySlope in 2019, there was a brand identity and system in place that was created by Dustin Avila in 2016. It was extensive and well-built but was becoming slightly out of date, with a growing lack of brand cohesion across the board.

In 2020, I proposed and spearheaded a rebrand – with the launch of our new product, SkySlope Forms – to create a modern and cohesive identity for our suite of products.

Website & Marketing

After the logo rebrand, we moved on to redesigning the SkySlope website. SkySlope UX designer Nick Jacoy and I were responsible for designing the look and feel of the new website and marketing material.

After some creative ideation and initial visual explorations, we moved forward with an illustrative space theme. The space theme is not new to SkySlope and existed in the previously established brand identity. This new direction, however, upgraded the style and expanded the theme across the website and marketing to more strongly tie back to the SkySlope brand.

Fun Stuff

On top of the very serious and professional work I do at SkySlope, I occasionally get to design some very fun internal material. This includes gifts for company employees, shirts, office thingamabobs, company celebrations, and more.

Reflection

The SkySlope rebrand was a huge success and is my proudest accomplishment to date. Since change is to be approached with caution in the real estate industry, this simple adjustment and refresh was the most effective and appropriate solution. The entire product suite brand was created with the intent to stay clean and modern for years or even decades into the future. The resulting SkySlope brand feels appropriately future-forward and I believe it will stand the test of time.
